MWA’s Autumn News and Brews
MWA Presents – a Documentary by Louise Abbott entitled The Islands of Lake Memphremagog: A Natural and Human History
Saturday, October 7, 2023 – 4:30 – 7 PM
This Autumn News and Brews will enjoy the backdrop of our “beautiful waters” from the decks of the Northern Star. The Northern Star will be docked at the Gateway Center for the evening so that our special guest Ms. Louis Abbott can present and comment on her documentary The Islands of Lake Memphremagog: A Natural and Human History. Ann Davidson of the Sherbrooke Record comments that “… Abbott highlights the inherent bond of people to their physical surroundings. She brings out the spiritual element within the subject matter. She helps to see the correlation of the past and the present in an attempt to look forward.”
In addition to Ms. Abbott’s presentation, MWA staff will give brief updates on our work since the successful April News and Brews event at Kingdom Brewery.
All are invited to enjoy this evening. Complimentary appetizers will be available as well as a cash bar. In the event of extreme inclement weather, the event will move to the second floor of the Gateway Center. So, see you rain or shine!
