Bird Walk 2026

Join the Friends of the Missisquoi National Wildlife Refuge and co-host MWA for the annual morning of birding and exploration at Eagle Point; 420 acres of managed property donated by the Michael Dunn Trust is owned by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and managed by the Vermont Department of Fish and Wildlife. Expert birders, Ken Copenhaver & Julie Filiberti will lead the walk pointing out habitats, sightings and songs.  We’ll meet rain or shine at 8:00. This event is free and open to all abilities. Dress appropriately for the weather.

Directions to Eagle Point:
– From East Main Street/VT 105/5, turn north on Sias Avenue (Cumberland Farms is on the northeast corner of this intersection) – .6 miles.
– Sias Avenue turns into Darling Hill Road – 1.6mi
– At V-intersection, continue straight on North Derby Road – 2.1 miles
– At T-intersection, turn left onto Eagle Point Road (T-17 on Google maps) – 1.3 miles
– Cross the bridge and go past the parking area for the wetland viewing trail.
– Take the first right and park along the edge of the loop road.
