Gabryel Gianoni has recently joined the MWA team as the new Watershed Project Coordinator. Over the past 7 years she has worked with several nonprofits and conservancies contributing to habitat restoration and conservation monitoring projects in Nevada and Pennsylvania. She has a bachelor’s degree in Biology with a focus in environmental science, ecology, and conservation.

Meeting will be held in Greensboro at the Highland Center for the Arts Wednesday, February 15, from 5:30-7:30 p.m

MWA and the City of Newport have teamed up to construct the Newport Marina Stormwater Improvement Project near the former Numia Medical Building and Newport Marina off Lake Road.  This project has been in the planning stages for several years and we are now breaking ground

The 2022 MWA scholarships awardees! are Natasha Bowen, of North Country High School, who is pursuing an education in pharmaceuticals, James Cilwik, also of North Country, who is interested in Civil Engineering, and Landyn Gile-Leach, of Lake Region High School, who will pursue Civil Engineering and Construction Management.

Formed when rain water filters through wastes placed in a landfill. When this liquid comes in contact with buried wastes, it leaches, or draws out, chemicals or constituents from those wastes.
